The Management Team

Alice
Director
Hello, my name is Alice and I am one of the Directors at Buttercups Children’s Nursery.
I opened the nursery alongside Victoria in 2016, prior to that we worked together running a joint child-minding business in Stowmarket. I am qualified to level 3 in Childcare and hold a BSc Hons degree in Occupational Therapy. Prior to working in childcare, I worked in the NHS for 15 years as an Occupational Therapist.
I am very passionate about working with children, being a mum of two children myself I wanted to create a nursery that is homely and welcoming, as well as delivering excellent learning and development opportunities to all of the children that join us.
At Buttercups we pride ourselves in creating a stimulating, fun environment that supports and recognizes children’s individual needs to support them to meet their full potential.

Victoria
Director
My name is Victoria, I am another Director at Buttercups Children’s Nursery. I have a foundation degree in Children’s Care Learning and Development. Prior to opening Buttercups in 2016, I worked at another local nursery for 8 years, then working as a Child Minder alongside Alice for a year before we decided to open our own nursery.
It has always been my dream to open a nursery of my own.
I love spending time with children - building relationships with them and their families aas well as helping them to grow and learn.
Buttercups has grown and grown over the years but is a very small, friendly and homely setting. We offer a wide range of activities and opportunities to children to extend their learning and development - supporting their individual needs.
The Childcare Team

Kelli
Deputy Manager
My name is Kelli I am the Deputy Manager at Buttercups Children’s Nursery. I started working here when it opened. I have A Foundation Degree in Children’s Care Learning and Development. Before starting at Buttercups I worked as a Teaching Assistant at Combs Ford Primary School in the Reception Year for 2 years. Before this I was the Deputy Manager at another Nursery setting in Stowmarket. When my Children were small I was a qualified Childminder for 4 years.
I love working with Children and watching them grow into the wonderful small people they become. At Buttercups we strive to make them feel as comfortable and loved as they would do at home. We work as Key People and have a small number of children each which we get to know that little bit better, working closely with their families too.

Carolyn
Room Leader
Little Buds
Hello my name is Carolyn I have been working in childcare for over 30 years, and still love my job and enjoy every new challenge.
I started as a childminder first and looked after lots of children aged from 6 weeks up to 10 years old, I then worked in a pre-school also working at the local primary school, before working in nurseries.
I love being a Baby Bears Room Leader, and it is such a privilege to care for all the babies, especially getting to know them and their families.
I feel every day is different, watching the babies develop and flourish.
It really helps being part of an amazing team, and of course you need lots of patience and a good sense of humour.
I have 2 grown up daughters and a granddaughter (who I love spending time with)
I live at home with my husband and our dog Harvey, I enjoy walking, reading and travelling.

Caprice

My name is Caprice, I joined Buttercups Children's Nursery in 2021 and became the Sunflower Room Leader in 2023. I have worked with children since 2014 and hold a level 3 Childcare and Education qualification. I love watching children being creative, using their imagination and growing and developing into lovely human beings ready to explore the world!

Nicole
Senco
My name is Buffy I am one of the Sencos at Buttercups Childrens Nursery. I have been working here for the last four years. Before working here, I spent time studying for my BA hons degree and after graduating in 2014 I went on to have my own two children, who have both attended Buttercups. I love working with children and feel privileged to be involved in caring for the children and watching them grow within the setting. To be able to provide support for children and their families within such a nurturing, homely environment is lovely. I am very luck to work alongside a fantastic team who are equally as passionate about providing a welcoming, safe environment for the children to be themselves in, as they grow and learn
