Rooms at Buttercups Children's Nursery
An Environment to Thrive
Under 2 & 2 Year Olds
We have a beautiful, brand new room for our under 2's and 2 year olds at Buttercups Children's Nursery in Stowmarket.
We work on childcare ratios of 1 adult to 3 children for our under 2's and 1 adult to 4 children for 2 year olds.
We pride ourselves on offering a nurturing, relaxed home-from-home environment for our Little Buds with lots of space, textures and fun for them to explore.
A full record of nappy changes, feeds, sleep times and activities are recorded in each baby’s daily diary and passed on to parents/carers at the end of each session.
At Buttercups we aim to work closely with parents and carers and mirror home routines wherever possible.
We accept 2 year old funded children.
3-4 Years
Our Sunflower Room is for preschool children aged 3 years and upwards.
We can have a maximum of 16 over 3 year olds with 1 member of staff to every 8 children.
In our preschool rooms we help prepare your children for school - building in routines to our day, encouraging independence, problem-solving and supporting them with early mark making and letter and sound recognition.
We accept 3 year funding and are able to offer flexible hours and stretched offers to cover funding throughout the whole year.
Our fun, colourful Sunflowers all shine when they start school.
3-4 Years
Our Poppy Room is for preschool children aged 3 years and upwards.
We have 1 adult to every 8 children and can have a maximum of 16 children in our Poppy Room.
In our preschool room we help prepare your children for school - building in routines to our day, encouraging independence, problem-solving and supporting them with early mark making and letter and sound recognition.
We accept 3 year funding and are able to offer flexible hours and stretched offers to cover funding throughout the whole year.

Garden Area
We have access to our own private garden area, Combs school playground and the large school field here in Combs, Stowmarket.
The Rainbow Forest
We are lucky enough to have access to a woodland area which is now our own outdoor exploration area.
